Ahh I love messing with these uptight 3d guys ^ ^

So yesterday some d00d posted on the c4d forums on cgtalk about how Cinema 4d was "worthless" for animation and a "joke" So I replied with links to my recent work in an attempt to show that it is not worthless for animation and that quality work can be done with it.... and then some 3d guy with poor self confidence got offended by my mega E_go ^ ^ I'll probably be banned again within the day... but here's the details so far XD

I say it after sitting through every animation festival. Most 3D artists shouldn't be story tellers. Lots of great technical execution, but I can only take this kind of masturbation in small doses.

Are you so out of touch with younger audiences that you would call what I do masturbation? You must be... In using Cinema 4d to realize my vision I have built a strong international fanbase and have become an award winning internationally renowned animator and director... I do many speaking engagements all over the world like this one in which I promote Cinema 4d as an animation tool... What are you doing? Oh thats right your making OT insults to the one guy making animated features with C4d... In my previous post I said to never blame the tool... Well you sir clearly are one ^ ^ So I can't help but blame you for your ignorance... please keep your ego in check when there is someone clearly more talented, passionate and relevant to current audiences than you in the room XD

Obviously there is no room in this world for my ego until yours has clearly been lifted to your rightful place by God's side. I've won many awards over the years, produced and developed a PC game that was published and distributed worldwide and courted by Hollywood to produce books and movies from it, and had my own international fanbase. I've had many opportunities on feature film and major game projects. I just don't feel the need to hijack a thread to slap my epeen around. Congratulations to you. Make sure you can take criticism, however, as in a few years you'll be rocking in a corner wondering why noone cares as you were such an international sensation. Btw, ask anyone in the entertainment industry what "I'm big in Japan!" means.

Oh now I understand ^ ^ Hello yesterday....Yesterday Hasbeen is a nice name! Meet today...thats me! Your tomorrow will be filled with sorrow as maniacs like me plunder your craft and remove all your little pins off the cultural map.

And no I don't ever have to take criticism from blokes like yourself or anyone else... and no in a few years I'll be working on my third animated feature film ^ ^ Thats why I M nightmare... you old guys hate people like me... but we are not going away we are getting bigger, stronger, and faster... and now we have NLA ^ ^

You need to contain your jealously a little better and not attempt to clash horns with a stronger E_ALpha male ...and trying to steer this post back on topic will not help your faiL ^ ^

  1. Haha nice. Any link to the thread or has it been deleted already? Messageboard dramaz are funny. I increasingly can't resist annoying people on the noise forums, it's too easy with super SERIOUS noise artists. :)

What format should I render out of Cinema 4d with?

UPDATED 2_27_13!  RENDER USING EXR Lossy Zip16! Since I'm working on a new feature film that will generate over 1500 shots made up of image sequences I need to make sure I choose the right file format to render to lest my hard drives explode. What I need from my format is  at least 16bit, an alpha included and preferably small size. I rendered out a frame from my film tallied up all the file sizes here- their all different types of codecs listed from smallest file size to largest. The render includes an RGBA pass, Depth pass, and Material Luminance pass because thats what I always render out. 1.00mb 8bit-Photo Jpeg %100 1.27mb 8bit-PNG 4.65mb 16bit- EXR lossy ZIP16 5.75mb 8bit-PSD 6.23mb 16bit-EXR lossy PLZ 6.44mb 16bit-PNG 7.94mb 8bit-TIFF 8.50mb 16bit-EXR Lossy 24 9.05mb 16bit-EXR Lossy Run Length 14.6mb 8bit-TARGA 22.4mb 32bit-EXR ZIP16 24.6mb 32bit-EXR Zip1 25.6mb 32bit-EXR PLZ 29.3mb 16bit-TIFF 29.3mb 16bit-PSD 40.0mb 32bit-EXR Run Length 58.7mb 16
