Apathetic whore hijacK attempt

I remember during the #iranelection goings on I was following the live twitter feed based on the hashtags... and people were using the hashtags related to the protest to promote themselves... for example something like "Check out our bands new album LINK #iranelection" ALSO attention whores were posting things like "I'm bored of hearing about Iran #iranelection"  It made ME SICK!

Is that what the world has come too? Some people out there in the world who DO have spines and DO have guts are fighting for they rights and freedom and all people can do is use it to promote themselves or try to make a buck?

I don't get this? How can you not care about your fellow humans who are fighting for basic human rights? Are people so narcissistic that they can't shut their fucking mouths and not talk about themselves every 5 minutes?

BUT this new thing is a new LOW... so if you know what's going on in Egypt right now where regular people are fighting for they freedom and being injured and killed for it... Irrelevant fashion designer Kenneth Cole tweets this...

So this old rich cancer is sitting in his fancy apartment in NYC... people are fighting and dying for their basic human rights and he see's it as an opportunity to make light of it to promote his useless fancy pants? That's UNFORGIVABLE!

So now that we have access to it... watch closely with your own eyes....NOT through mainstream media channels.... as close to the rawness as you can get... to these uprisings like what is going on in Egypt... its not about nationality of religion... it's common people like you and me fighting against they oppressors for they basic rights...

That's no laughing matter unless your some apathetic rich fuck who's in with those that are running this game on us... and if you don't think its a game... if you don't think they are the pimps treating us like hoe's.... if you don't think they are the masters treating us like slaves... either your hella rich and not affected, you've got your head up the mainstream media's ass, or you just don't give a fuck.

I for one AND WITH THE PEOPLE OF EGYPT! And any people anywhere in the world who fight for their freedom! I'm just a filmmaker BUT I will do what I can to make a difference in my own little way!

And if you believe in something so should you! Not buying anything from a tweeting CANCER like Kenneth Cole would be a good step... cut off they money and they will all wither and die.

I for one can't wait till they are all........... ^_^............... IN THE NEXT DIMENSION (VEGETA FINAL FLASH ATTACK!)

There are various first hand sources you can find to follow what's going on in Egypt... among a few other places I've been reading this d00ds stuff...as he is like there like right now.

  2. Can't say I'm surprised about this, since it's been going on with the YouTube partners for quite a few years.
This guy points out that hypocrisy in a funny way:

I unfortunately haven't been able to follow the Egyptian revolution because my internet and cable have been down due to snowstorms until today, though. :(

  3. man... how the hell do they think it's ok to do that?!!! I'm so pissed right now.

I guess one of the drawbacks with new media is that there are no regulatory bodies. Not that it makes much difference anyway as the old media have been doing it for years, just with more subtlety.

in the words of nick cave, "people just ain't no good"

  5. fucking asswipe...really you wanna joke about something like that?...

here's a blog on how it all started, see if its funny...its not about the years of oppression, or these last demonstrations, but the one detonating moment that triggered people to take action...a little taste of what was happening on a daily basis...beware content is very graphic and very, well fucking cruel...r.i.p. Khaled Said .

I think of this kid and feel it could have been any of us...for real...

this is one of those moments where you can say, fuck you asshole kings, corrupt fucking puppies working for the state, a higher power? Haha...you're the fucking joke...kenneth cole is just...well nothing

Justice will not fail those people on the streets. No sir.

Didn't know there was any French revolutionary in you. Now those guys knew how to riot.

On another note, i just read an interesting article you might be interested in, on Walter Murch's views on 3D film.

Normally i'm pretty against Ebert's view on things, but i have to say i'm with him here.

  7. I'm not surprised, people will do anything for money when the acquisition of money is the motivation for the acquisition of money. I call it "recursive motivation" and it leads to amoral actions, once you remove consciously assigned value (or purpose) from the holder of value (money, in this case)

Recursive motivation is why your neighbors 'have' to buy a bigger plasma TV than anyone else has... or why certain (aka most) hollywood movies are devoid of artistic merit.

Loathe as I am to reference Ayn Rand, her concept of 'value' is relevant here, in that there is nothing that has value "inherent" in it's own existence, but rather it is conscious decision and evaluation by which we assign value to things (in Mazlov's hierarchy of values, air and water are more important than the latest Justin Bieber album, for example...)

So these people who are hijacking the situation in Egypt are not even acting morally, their thought process is external to what we would consider a moral human thought process. They will expropriate whatever "meme" is most popular towards their goal of obtaining money, but their actions are devoid of any human value.

  8. There is a page called: "We are all Khaled Said" that is giving a very good account of what's going on over in Egypt, by the people who are actually involved in it daily.

    It's on, OMG, Facebook!

PS: the trick to facebook, besides not spending too much time on there, is to have friends that are actually interesting. And to have friends that are actually interesting, you have to be interesting yourself. Which means not spending too much time on there.

  11. I always thought the advertising for Kenneth Cole was clever…until now. Thanks for calling these greedy, self-absorbed fucks out. That's something that drives me crazy about some Americans—there are people around the world fighting for basic rights and we have comfortable and wealthy people in this country who are upset about health care for everyone and paying a few more dollars in taxes. At least some of us are aware of the lies.

  12. I would say it's a problem specifically more for the Fashion Industry, than for the general population, and the Fashion Industry is not so different in countries other than the U.S.

All you have to do is pick up any fashion magazine, and then just see how quickly you will start to get pissed off, if you have any shred of humanity.

It's those fashion people - regular people are not quite that shallow and stupid. Even in the U.S. Just my two cents....

PS: Ignore the Fashion Industry, and you will be a lot happier.
I know, I have to work with those types a couple times a year.

  13. Ive been waiting for something like this to happen in the middle east since i was 17. I hope it spreads all over, and i hope they don't elect douchebags. If the brotherhood comes into power, i hope it's secular/reform wing is the one that is dominant.

  16. "Yesterday we were all Tunisian. Today we are all Egyptian. Tomorrow we'll all be free."

I'm glad you're not afraid to be political on here.

    @Adam

The brotherhood are only 20% of the population, if the people won't accept Mubarak any longer they certainly won't accept the brotherhood either. The majority, if not all personalities that have spoken out about being afraid that the brotherhood will take over are interestingly the same ones that don't have much of a problem with Mubarak in the first place. Don't be fooled by those phoney politicians, if they support democracy only for populations they agree with they don't support democracy at all.

What format should I render out of Cinema 4d with?

UPDATED 2_27_13!  RENDER USING EXR Lossy Zip16! Since I'm working on a new feature film that will generate over 1500 shots made up of image sequences I need to make sure I choose the right file format to render to lest my hard drives explode. What I need from my format is  at least 16bit, an alpha included and preferably small size. I rendered out a frame from my film tallied up all the file sizes here- their all different types of codecs listed from smallest file size to largest. The render includes an RGBA pass, Depth pass, and Material Luminance pass because thats what I always render out. 1.00mb 8bit-Photo Jpeg %100 1.27mb 8bit-PNG 4.65mb 16bit- EXR lossy ZIP16 5.75mb 8bit-PSD 6.23mb 16bit-EXR lossy PLZ 6.44mb 16bit-PNG 7.94mb 8bit-TIFF 8.50mb 16bit-EXR Lossy 24 9.05mb 16bit-EXR Lossy Run Length 14.6mb 8bit-TARGA 22.4mb 32bit-EXR ZIP16 24.6mb 32bit-EXR Zip1 25.6mb 32bit-EXR PLZ 29.3mb 16bit-TIFF 29.3mb 16bit-PSD 40.0mb 32bit-EXR Run Length 58.7mb 16
