Addicted to filmmaking

I've realized through time that Filmmaking is my addiction... just like a person is addicted to smoking cigarrettes or using painkillers because it gives them "comfort"... that's how making films is to me... when I feel lost, hopeless, useless... I return to filmmaking as that is my addiction and it gives me comfort...

Creating short animations is a quick fix but just doesn't do it.....

As I experienced when I finished We Are The Strange and Heart String Marionette I sort fell into a hole once they were done... I had no comfort because my addiction was not being indulged... So I've realized to stay healthy I need to constantly make films... I'm going to complete the new film by Xmas 2013 and then I plan to release a new one every other year...

So just like a dope fiend ignores all other responsibilities and runs off and hides in a hole so they can puff that rock... when I get a new idea for a film that hits me hard... Its like I found the dope... so then I'm going to run off and grind on that film till its done...

I like to call myself "the worst business person in the world" because of this film fiend nature that I have- so I should probably apologize to all the people I've flaked on for things outside my own films but what can I say? I'm M dot Strange filmmaking fiend?!
Back in the hole- on the grind to make a new film

  1. Filmmaking = drug. Escape from reality. NICE.

    Yo Mdot
Whats happening with the DUB/ auditioning voice actor plans in different languages for HSM. Got any suggestions on the example websites I made for you.
Take your time n stuff. But can you make a post explaining the ideas to everyone. Get every ones suggestions etc. Or if anyone reads this respond, like. we got lots of ideas to get everyone involved in helping making the dub in (nearly) all languages. But i'd rather let Mdot explain the plan and ideas in full.
HSM has no essential lip sync so it would be perfect to DUB.

What format should I render out of Cinema 4d with?

UPDATED 2_27_13!  RENDER USING EXR Lossy Zip16! Since I'm working on a new feature film that will generate over 1500 shots made up of image sequences I need to make sure I choose the right file format to render to lest my hard drives explode. What I need from my format is  at least 16bit, an alpha included and preferably small size. I rendered out a frame from my film tallied up all the file sizes here- their all different types of codecs listed from smallest file size to largest. The render includes an RGBA pass, Depth pass, and Material Luminance pass because thats what I always render out. 1.00mb 8bit-Photo Jpeg %100 1.27mb 8bit-PNG 4.65mb 16bit- EXR lossy ZIP16 5.75mb 8bit-PSD 6.23mb 16bit-EXR lossy PLZ 6.44mb 16bit-PNG 7.94mb 8bit-TIFF 8.50mb 16bit-EXR Lossy 24 9.05mb 16bit-EXR Lossy Run Length 14.6mb 8bit-TARGA 22.4mb 32bit-EXR ZIP16 24.6mb 32bit-EXR Zip1 25.6mb 32bit-EXR PLZ 29.3mb 16bit-TIFF 29.3mb 16bit-PSD 40.0mb 32bit-EXR Run Length 58.7mb 16
