A little ahead of schedule...but the animatic is done ....but fairly loose...it clocks in at 130 minutes which is way past what I thought it would be seeing that the script is 98 pages buuuuuut I don't have anyone to answer to so whatever time feels right is the right time ^ ^
I would like to keep it under 120 minutes though.. I recently saw "The Dark Knight" I kept saying to myself "gawd when is this gonna end?!" so I'm not going to get close to 152 minutes hell naW
So now I will order the workstation...new video cam and DSLR and catalog all the elements I need to design....

Did you not like The Dark Knight?
ReplyDeleteYou could always make a 2.5 hour version for the DVD, and just post the 2 hour version on YouTube. That would be pretty cool.
Great news about finishing the animatic. Wish I was a fly on the wall of your studio. I'd buzz over to the monitor and watch the animatic on your shoulder (don't squash me!). Personally, I don't think you should worry about the length as the story should take as long as it needs to be told. It's not like the people who are gonna watch your films have sensitive butts or something. Satantango is 7.5 hours and is a masterpiece. Still, if you are obsessed with being under 2 hours, Taylor has a good idea there. Besides, the more MdotStrange we get the happier I am.
ReplyDeleteYeah. I wouldn't get too hung up on time. A two hour movie wouldn't be so bad.
