SO I got some music!

So I got the first 20 minutes of the music from Endika tonight... and it is AMAZING! I've been listening to it nonstop since I got it... and I did start to cut with it as well... it works GREAT... I seriously did like 6 fist pumps while cutting haha...

We also decided to see this new way of working all the way to the end... so I will cut to the music as it is...I will MAKE IT WORK and not ask him to revise or change the music at all... It's a matter of principle I believe... we made a decision to work this way at the start and we'll finish it like that... I guess its more of a music video workflow eh? BUT the music is based on the script so in theory if we're on the same page then the music and the visual flow should fit together well... since I'm a pretty creative editor I have no doubt that I can make everything work... its actually more of a challenge and more fun this way AND I always cut to music anyway so jes...

I finished making the teaser trailer... but now I need to make the imagery that will be used for the poster, and export some stills for the website as I have already created all the text... so I'll work on that in between editing and doing some organizational stuff to prepare materials for the voice actors...

So I'm glad to be BUSY BUSY again ^_^

  4. I've always enjoyed editing to music, and with an animation there's really no reason not to. Words can't describe how stoked I am to see this movie.

  5. Actually this wreminds me of how .hack//sign was made too
They sent the composer Yuki Kajiura charecter sheets and some scripts
she said she was confused a lot when makeing the music
but then she sent the music over and they edited all in
and it turns out to be one of the reasons fans love the series so much

I'm hopeing this will turn out the same ^_^

What format should I render out of Cinema 4d with?

UPDATED 2_27_13!  RENDER USING EXR Lossy Zip16! Since I'm working on a new feature film that will generate over 1500 shots made up of image sequences I need to make sure I choose the right file format to render to lest my hard drives explode. What I need from my format is  at least 16bit, an alpha included and preferably small size. I rendered out a frame from my film tallied up all the file sizes here- their all different types of codecs listed from smallest file size to largest. The render includes an RGBA pass, Depth pass, and Material Luminance pass because thats what I always render out. 1.00mb 8bit-Photo Jpeg %100 1.27mb 8bit-PNG 4.65mb 16bit- EXR lossy ZIP16 5.75mb 8bit-PSD 6.23mb 16bit-EXR lossy PLZ 6.44mb 16bit-PNG 7.94mb 8bit-TIFF 8.50mb 16bit-EXR Lossy 24 9.05mb 16bit-EXR Lossy Run Length 14.6mb 8bit-TARGA 22.4mb 32bit-EXR ZIP16 24.6mb 32bit-EXR Zip1 25.6mb 32bit-EXR PLZ 29.3mb 16bit-TIFF 29.3mb 16bit-PSD 40.0mb 32bit-EXR Run Length 58.7mb 16
