Your favorite Pi-Hole!

If you are not a masochistic internet surfer you are running one or more Adblockers on your browser of choice- Adblockers are cool because they sift through everything coming into your browser and block out the annoying bits called "Ad's"

I don't use mobile devices much but I do know that unless you use Brave browser on ios or Android the other browsers/Apps do not allow you to install adblockers-

I have had a raspberry Pi 3 sitting around for awhile now and decided to put it to use as a Pi-Hole-

Pi-Hole site https://pi-hole.net/

When you run a Pi-Hole your internet traffic goes through the Pi-Hole before it touches your devices so the Pi-Hole removes/blocks the ad's before your devices read them-

So it allows you to block ad's on all devices- it works really well- You still need to run an Adblocker to catch the pesky crap that gets through- I use Ublock Origin + Ublock Origin Extra- and in conjunction with the Pi-Hole I'm not seeing any ad's at all anywhere-

The Pi-Hole dashboard lets you monitor what its been doing- since I've been using it for a few weeks now- It seems between %18 - %30 of my incoming internet traffic is ad's that the Pi-Hole is blocking-

Blocking this junk will save you time and increase the performance + battery life of your devices-

I thought setting up Pi-Hole would be a weekend project but it only took about 15 minutes as my Pi was already running- just needed to install/configure Pi-Hole- you can spend more time on it adding new blocklists-

For my next weekend Pi project I'm going setup my own BtcPayServer instance...

What format should I render out of Cinema 4d with?

UPDATED 2_27_13!  RENDER USING EXR Lossy Zip16! Since I'm working on a new feature film that will generate over 1500 shots made up of image sequences I need to make sure I choose the right file format to render to lest my hard drives explode. What I need from my format is  at least 16bit, an alpha included and preferably small size. I rendered out a frame from my film tallied up all the file sizes here- their all different types of codecs listed from smallest file size to largest. The render includes an RGBA pass, Depth pass, and Material Luminance pass because thats what I always render out. 1.00mb 8bit-Photo Jpeg %100 1.27mb 8bit-PNG 4.65mb 16bit- EXR lossy ZIP16 5.75mb 8bit-PSD 6.23mb 16bit-EXR lossy PLZ 6.44mb 16bit-PNG 7.94mb 8bit-TIFF 8.50mb 16bit-EXR Lossy 24 9.05mb 16bit-EXR Lossy Run Length 14.6mb 8bit-TARGA 22.4mb 32bit-EXR ZIP16 24.6mb 32bit-EXR Zip1 25.6mb 32bit-EXR PLZ 29.3mb 16bit-TIFF 29.3mb 16bit-PSD 40.0mb 32bit-EXR Run Length 58.7mb 16
